The Botanique Spa Hotel in Brazil is located in the southeast of Brazil, at the confluence of three river valleys, on a half-slope at the heart of the picturesque Mantikela Mountains. Surrounded by lush nature, the Botanique Spa Hotel enjoys a mid-tropical Atlantic forest climate and is situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters.
The building was designed based on the existing European model. Over the years, the owner has saved and collected beautiful and rare wood elements from different places, such as beams, columns and parquet, hoping to give them a new life in that building to make up this project.
More than 250 cubic meters of old wood chips (some dating back over 120 years) have been reused in floors, doors and structural elements, demonstrating the magical durability of wood as a building material.
The raw materials for building wooden structures ultimately come from: forests. This complex consists of a main building that includes six rooms, a restaurant and a hot spring bath.
Unprocessed wood is joined together by threads to form a rough aesthetic, which transcends its natural structural function, but it becomes a key factor in architectural aesthetics and interior structure.
The combination of stone and wood can maintain a warm feeling and also keep a subtle difference in this yellow tone.
Therefore, the green of the surrounding forest is the only hue that matches it with other colors.
Due to the brightness and transparency of the huge glass curtain wall, the interior decoration design with a natural green background becomes more beautiful because of the scenery outside.
